David Coon

• Coon has an anti-family voting record during his time in the legislature.

• Coon supports abortion-on-demand and considers it to be a so-called “right”.
• He advocated to drop the previously existing – and very mild - abortion restrictions in New Brunswick, which required two doctors to sign off that an abortion was medically necessary before it could get subsidized by taxpayer dollars.

• Coon advocated to extend public funding to elective abortions committed at the private, for-profit killing centre in Fredericton, known as Clinic 554.

• Has not taken a public position on conscience rights protection for healthcare workers to protect them from coercion to participate in or refer for abortion, euthanasia or sex-change mutilation surgeries.

• Has expressed no opinion about whether a Green Party government would ever entertain the sort of unconstitutional censorship law that has been adopted in other provinces, wherein peaceful protests and the peaceful exercise of free speech has been criminalized within a 50 metre radius of abortuaries, hospitals or schools, even on taxpayer-owned, public sidewalks.

• Coon supports LGBT and Transgender ideology
• Coon is a vocal opponent of the changes to Policy 713, an update that prevents schools from hiding from parents the fact that their children are identifying as transgender at school, using opposite sex names, or pronouns. She accused Premier Higgs of being “transphobic” for requiring schools to seek parental consent before children are allowed to identify as the opposite sex.

• Has been a vocal opponent of parental rights.
• In May 2024, Coon defended an obscene sex ed presentation that had been given in a New Brunswick school. The presentation introduced children to pornography and immoral sexual acts.

• Has expressed no opinion on the calls to decriminalize hard drugs, establish government-run drug dens in New Brunswick neighbourhoods, and hand out free, taxpayer-funded drugs to addicts, as is being advocated for by left-wing pressure groups and some federal Liberals, who want to see this established in every province, under the guise of 'harm reduction'.
